Morning at Maggie`s Omelette Shoppe in Bay City

We have been visiting Maggie's for over 11 years, and it is still one of our favorite places to go for breakfast! It has a great morning/breakfast atmosphere and the menu selection is diverse. From omelets and frittata (their specialty), to french toast, pancakes, fresh fruit, and their famous hash brown casserole, everyone is sure to find something they like. Our favorite is the loaded baked potato omelet! Delicious! Their hours can be sporadic at times. We have stopped some mornings only to find them closed, so if you are coming from any distance, it might be a good idea to call ahead to make sure they are open.

Great food great service.

Food was not good and menu was very lacking, I got only bacon because they wouldn't allow me to tweak my order and it tasted like pure burnt salt. The service was poor, it took almost 20 minutes to get a drink, and the waitress did not check on our table once after the food came. We had to go up to the counter and ask for our bill after we sat for a half our waiting. The saddest part is that they weren't even busy.

First time visiting here. The owner actually came and visited our table. Warm and friendly family place.Food was excellent. The coffee was great. The atmosphere is like the pleasant restaurants of old. Inviting and comfortable. Nice choices for many varieties of omelets. Definitely would go back and recommend to family and friends too.

Excellent place to have breakfast. Highly recommended. You can't go wrong if you like breakfast. Rachel our server was excellent. She knows her job well.

Nice mom and pop place

Waited 45 minutes for our food, then told them to keep it. The waitress was high as a kite. She asked if I wanted toast 4 times.

The food was the highlight of the meal, there was only one waitress doing her best, but it was impossible for her to keep up, which is likely the managements fault, the food tho was good, despite being like 12% more blan than I wanted -a random number-

I get told to go there and it's really good. I drive 15 minutes and show up at 1130 on a Monday. The rude girl at front says "we are closing." I said no big deal your Google page is wrong. She said "no, it's right we are just closing today." That's really bad

This is an amazing place to have breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The food is always fresh and tastes fantastic. The staff is very friendly and personable. I believe this is the best place in town to grab a refreshing breakfast. I hope they're here to stay for long term, because I will always continue coming here for breakfast.

We had issues with the way our food was cooked about 3 yrs ago, and the staff treated us with disrespect. We said we would never come back. Today we went back for another try and watched 2 tables leave without their food, because the food took over 40 minutes to make as ours did too. They were only 4 tables in the restaurant at this time and the two that walked out were a table of one and a table of two. The waitress was very pleasant, but did appear to be high. Two other tables said she was high when they walked out. Won’t be going back.....

It was the worst ever. Overpriced, cold food, and bad service. I have never been so disappointed in my breakfast and paid twice as much and no refills on coffee. Others in our group couldn't even eat their food. Will never go back or recommend to anyone. I would have rather been at a fast food place. To add more pain in took over 10 with no one in line to checkout and added 18 percent gratuity for 6 people, probably a good thing because I didn't think they deserved a tip. Awful!!

The food is exceptional. Small town feel. The new addition of homemade jams is the best change. The mixed berry jam is the best I have ever had! Please keep these! It really makes the experience special. Also love having the option to have half a grapefruit as a side. I love this place. Good prices and great morning coffee.

Not impressed. Menu very limited. Omelets and frittatas. Only one other option of French toast. We both had the French toast. Not good at all. Basically coated bread. It was so thick the custard/egg mix did not penetrate through, no vanilla or cinnamon. Basically warm tasteless bread. The panco bread crumbs still have me perplexed as they did not add anything. On the plus side it was very clean and the server was efficient and pleasent. I wish them luck

Wife and I wanted a coffee and bagel or toast before going to bay sail river cruise. We never got waited on. Apparently being first time customers isn't as important as friends or regulars. Left after 15 minutes.

The good is good. Have a huge menu to select from. Been there just once, would definitely explore more and update.

Loved this place! Great service from the waitress and even saw the cook a few times. Amazingly helpful, kind people. All the food, coffee and tea were great. Had an omelette and some banana pancakes. Highly recommend.

VERY slow service and mediocre food. Almost walked out at multiple points. Nice people, but they really need to work on their quality and service.

Food is locally sourced and good quality. Portions are a bit small. I ordered the Country Scramble and thought it included potatoes. It was just scrambled eggs with bacon bits. If you are looking for something on the lighter side, it is a good choice.

Food was great, quick service, Sam (our waitress) was so friendly and helpful. Loved the comfy feeling of the restaurant. Fair prices.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Absolutely terrible! Don't waste your time. I waited 35 minutes for a refill on my coffee. We witnessed 3 tables seated after us which was tables of four and there was only two of us all get there food before us! If I could give them zero stars I would in a heartbeat. Very unprofessional and unorganized the server looked to be high as she couldn't comprehend much....

My husband and I agree, it's the best French toast we've ever had! He had the traditional and I had the Banana Foster! Our plates came out quick and there is enough leftover for a second meal!

We really enjoyed our breakfast. It was delicious. Our server Sam was very kind and made us feel welcome. We will be back for sure.

Great options if you like non-traditional omelette options. Service was good, waitresses were very friendly. Prices are pretty reasonable as well.

This place was phenomenal, dont pay any mind to that 1 star veggie rate when I was there looking at the menu it was quite apparent that there is a veggie option (unless you are the type of person that doesn't eat eggs). My omelette was loaded with 5 toppings and I had it served with watermelon and rye toast. The pricing was very reasonable as well, but the best part about it was how quick the food was brought out to me.

Great breakfast! I got the Ham potato and Herb frittata and it was very good. My friend and I came early in the morning looking for some good breakfast and we definitely got it. Staff was very kind and quick. Would definitely suggest.

Good food. They said they were short staffed, but the waitresses handled it pretty well. Would definitely come back.

Decided to pop into this little cafe. The atmosphere was pretty nice, the wait staff was very friendly and welcoming. My girlfriend and I were sat fairly promptly and ordered our meals. It was about a 35 minute wait to get our food. She ordered a frattata and I just got the basic breakfast...2 eggs over medium and so on. She maybe took two bites and mine was very bland and mediocre. The toast tasted stale...as if had been premade and just tossed onto our plates as they came out. The butter was pretty gross as well. It was $2.49 for a coffee....WHAT?! I give it at A+ for wait staff friendliness and attentiveness but a D- for food quality and value.

My first time in and will definitely be back! The Amaretto Almond Pancakes and Baked Potato Omelette were amazing! The staff was super great too!

Friends brought me here after church... wowza! The Austrian Eggs on mushrooms & spinach, well... BEST EGGS I'VE EVER HAD!! And a tad of excellence...Homemade Tasting Strawberry Jam! Yummers!!!

They have unique choices . exacusion was lacking a bit . i would definetly recommend trying it for yourself though.

Had a pear omelets. That is why you should try this place out. Very unique options.Make sure to call first to confirm closing times. Known to close early.
